Snippet Sunday ~ Day of the Dead ~ Dia de los Muertos #1

Hello Everyone! Welcome back.

I thought I would restart my Day of the Dead ~ Dia de los Muertos story for everyone. Halloween season is just upon us and this story is a perfect fit for this season.

I’m going to start at the beginning!!! If you’d rather watch me read it and talk about it then watch below!!! 🙂 I do read a bit more for the snippet in this video.

October was Valentina Bellmonte’s favorite month out of the year with its beautiful weather, but she especially loved Halloween. Halloween had always been a big deal at her house growing up. They would decorate the house with pumpkins and scarier items like ghosts, witches and vampires. Her mother would throw a big party where everyone was required to wear a costume, the scarier the better.

She hoped, this year, she’d remain healthy enough so she could actually enjoy the festivities this little town of Hope had to offer. She moved here by chance a year ago. She’d closed her practice of four years, sold her condo and took off in her car, planning to see as much as she could of the states before she couldn’t.

Who doesn’t love a good Halloween party? Costumes are so much fun!!

Thank you for stopping by. Check out my YouTube Channel, Paranormal Corner for more fun stuff.

The Day of the Dead takes on a new meaning, when the dead don’t stay dead. Dr. Valentina Bellmonte, a cancer survivor, is the new coroner at Hope Memorial. Her faith is put to the test when a body arrives at the morgue drained of blood and the man responsible for the crime is sporting fangs. Could vampires be real?

Her good friend, Dr. Xander Carlisle seems to know the truth, but he’s unwilling to confide in her. He has a secret of his own and it’s not just how he feels about her, but something else entirely, something he’s forbidden to reveal.

  6. Best time of the year, indeed! Gotta love Halloween. I wonder what illness she is facing to cause her to take that kind of thinking and action to see the states. I’m intrigued.
