Snippet Sunday ~ Be My Everything Valentine’s Day Collections 2016: Afterlife

Welcome back viewers and Happy Fourth of July weekend. I hope everyone is having fun and being safe!

Now for the fun stuff. Last we left off Scotlynn has now told Jax, her boyfriend, that her ex fiancee Marshall is not only a spirit but his step mother tried to kill him and his father and succeeded with one of the two. Jax is on his way over to give Scotlynn any information she can to help Marshall out.

I’m skipping a head a bit, Scotlynn finds out Marshall hasn’t been inside it home to check on his father make sure he is okay since he himself had passed and he is having a hard time. So now Scotlynn wants to know how he knew his father didn’t die too!

“After the accident happened, I remembered being in the ambulance and my dad was there with me. He wasn’t injured. Then I saw him again, signing papers…I’m assuming to give permission to pull the plug.” Marshall turned to look at me.

“I then somehow appeared where my stepmother stood, near the hospital exit. She was on her phone, and by her conversation, I knew she tried to kill my father and me with the help of whomever was on the other line with her. Her boyfriend I would think since she ended her call with ‘I love you too’.” Marshall pursed his lips in disgust.

“They almost succeeded. I want – no, I need to make sure they don’t succeed with my father.” His tone was harsh with determination.

“Man, oh man. Jax should be here any minute and we will get this all sorted out.” I gave him a reassuring smile and put my hand on his for comfort. When I did, for a moment, I felt silly, he couldn’t feel it, he was a spirit, but then feeling silly changed to surprise when I felt flesh. My hand rested on his, and it was solid. I jumped as if I’d been shocked.

I think I will leave it there. So if Marshall is a spirit and he is dead why can Scotlynn feel him? Uh oh! More to think about.

  5. Oh this just got majorly interesting! I’m going to go off a huge hunch here and say Marshall isn’t actually dead, but perhaps he’s in a coma and his spirit is floating around aimlessly while his body lays in its unresponsive state. Great hook!

Hmm. I think I might’ve been just as spooked by talking with a spook than with finding out he wasn’t an uncorporeal spook.
