Snippet Sunday ~ Be my Everything Valentine’s Day Collection 2016

Welcome back everyone! We’re going to continue my story Afterlife and I’m excited to show you more of Scotlynn’s steamy hot boyfriend Jax. The story only gets better from here.

Last we left off with meeting Jax, beautiful Detective Jax Damien Havaford. Scotlynn has agreed to help Marshall keep his dad safe and to help Jax get the people responsible for everything behind bars. No we are getting to know a little bit more about how Scotlynn and Jax met and where their relationship is now.

We’ve been pretty serious for over a year now and there’s even been long talks of marriage, which was a huge step for me. Took me a long time to be in the place I’m in now, and it was all because of this man. My Jax.

“Hey babe,” Jax said in his deep melodic voice, “nice getting a call from you. Always puts me in a good mood on those crazy nights here. What’sup?”

“First, I’d like to say I love you.” I told him with a big smile on my face.

“Love you too, Scotlynn.” My insides are warmed by his words and for a moment I forget why I called until Marshall ‘uh-hums’ me. Back to business. “I called because well, Marshall is here at Afterlife. Needs my help. And he’s a spirit.”

“That’s…that’s…” Jax cleared his throat and started over. “I have no clue what to say other than are you okay? Is he okay? Of course not, he’s dead. And I’m rambling,” he said and took a breath. “What can I do to help?”

Hmmm, so Jax is willing to help. That is a good sign. He sounds like he’s good man.

This week I fell a bit behind and did not upload a Reading Corner Friday. So i made sure that I have time this week and I will make sure that I keep up for next week. Lol. I came down with a nasty flu and just haven’t been able to leave my bed.

Jax is definitely a nice guy. Scotlynn reminds me a little of myself. Quirky and fun. Thanks for stopping by.

  2. Well, he may not be comfortable with her dead visitors, but at least he’s trying to help and willing to accept them for her sake. Good snippet.

Jax knows, though, that she’s psychic, doesn’t he. Do they know Marshall? Why’s he so taken aback?

LOL. I think she caught him a bit off guard. But then, how do you respond to the news that your girlfriend’s ex-boyfriend’s ghost is visiting?

    1. Cecilia Corona says:

Seriously right? That’s an odd conversation to begin with. Lol.

LOL! I love that entire last paragraph! That would have been my reaction down to a T. At least he knows how serious it is then if he can’t even form the right sentences the situation would warrant. I especially love the “Is he okay? Of course not, he’s dead. And I’m rambling…” I love it!

    1. Cecilia Corona says:

Thanks. I love these characters so much and i am glad you are enjoying them too.

  9. It’s good that she can go “I have a ghost problem” and that he answer “sure.” It seems they have a strong relationship.

    1. Cecilia Corona says:

Super strong, you’ll get to see more of that as we go.
