Last we left off:

Valentina is confronted on her doorstep where she lives with mother by her ex Mauricio. Not only was Mauricio there the man from her dreams was there, Jayce. She now knows Jayce is her brother. Xiomara is now more confused then ever.  Why are dangerous people after her! Now we are on chapter 3.

***note this snippet is to fit a 8-10 sentence limit***

Mauricio Beltoro couldn’t believe how stunning Xiomara looked tonight and she was as feisty as ever. It seemed like she’d been out on a date with the way she was dressed to the nines.

A growl grew in his throat at the thought of another man touching her. He would break the guy’s neck. Startled at where his thoughts had gone, he cleared his throat. Focus, Mauricio, focus, he thought to himself.

He and Prince Jayce were here to protect Xiomara and make sure the Queen’s guards didn’t find her. They were close behind them. He could sense it.

They probably knew by now he and Jayce had fled the kingdom. The queen’s guards were like him, both man and wolf. They would be able to track them, no matter how hard he tried to cover their tracks.
