Mara nodded and Mauricio let out a loud growl. Mara was so scared but she knew she could do this.
She was going to get the stone back from Queen Victoria and set the kingdom free.
Her brother and Mauricio were going to make sure she was safe. Good would prevail. As she thought those words, she saw why the earth shook violently beneath her.
Hordes of ogres, wendigos, orcs, and vampires were rushing toward them from over the hill. Mara wondered if the three of them could actually win this.
They were going to be completely surrounded by Daemons. She frowned. How did she know what these creatures were called?
“RUN!” Jayce yelled.

Find out what happens next week for snippet #25 of my paranormal romance At first Snowfall.

Why did she know what those things were? Could the three of them win this fight?

Wow–nice snippet, Cecilia–I can feel her fear and now she has to run–

    1. Cecilia Corona says:

      Thank you.

  5. Yes, at this point it’s better not to ask herself too many syntax question and to run as fast and far as possible. It’s a very dangerous situation and nobody will be left to help if they are dead.

    1. Cecilia Corona says:

Yup. She needs to just run.

  6. I think she should run fast and get out of there.

    1. Cecilia Corona says:

      Me too!

  7. How indeed does she know what they are! Great snippet, love how she tries to give herself a peptalk and I’m curious to see how this plays out. I hope she doesn’t wake before then!

Also, I LOVE the picture you have at the beginning.

    1. Cecilia Corona says:

      Thanks so much!

  8. I am wondering if this is truly a dream? Very intriguing.

  9. Jeff Tsuruoka says:

Well… that’s ominous, isn’t it? Nice image with the horde of baddies rushing over the hill…
