Thought I’d come back to this story since my story just released and it’s out all by itself!
Last we left off with Adelaide watching Alexander, the King, get killed by his brother and with the evil Queen Victoria at his side. She now jumped into a portal with her and Alexander’s unborn child to who knows where just to get to safety. Now we jump about 20 yrs into the future with Mara, Adelaide’s daughter. She seems to being having some type of dream scenario.
***note this snippet is to fit a 8-10 sentence limit***

A man came to stand on her other side. He looked familiar as if she looked upon a family member, Jayce.

The name came to her, Jayce…her brother.

The earth beneath Mara’s feet started to shake violently. She barely kept the sword in her hand as she fought to steady herself and stay upright. What was happening?

“Xiomara, keep close to Mauricio and me,” Jayce said. “And remember what we taught you.”

“I’ll remember, I’m ready, let’s do this,” Mara said.

“When I say run, don’t look back. Just keep going and kill whoever gets in your way,” Jayce ordered.

When you do you won’t be disappointed.

When the voices in our heads have something to say, and they tell us to remember… it’s usually wise to listen to them.

Run and don’t look back… Doesn’t he know that that normally prompts someone to do just that and pause to look back? I know I would. Curious to see what they’re up against. Nice snippet.

      lol true, very true.

  7. I read the blurb so I know they have quite a battle ahead of them.
What is happening with the ground shaking? Very curious.
And kill anything in her way, definite danger ahead.

      Quite a battle indeed!

Well… that last line certainly sets up what I hope will be a satisfying bit of mayhem. Nice work!
