Snippet Sunday: At First Snowfall #snippetsunday #SPeekSunday #8Sunday

Welcome Back Everyone!

Today is Snippet #21 from my newly published story! I’m so excited to have you read it!

Today I’ll be sharing a snippet from my newly published story At First Snowfall.
I thought I would take a break from my Dia de los Muertos ~ Day of the Dead and show you a glimpse into my new story for Christmas time. Hope you enjoy the snippet.

We’re jumping ahead a few paragraphs.

Alexander is distraught to find out about his fathers death and that it was by the hands of his wife and brother. Alexander and his brother get into brawl and Victoria intervenes by subduing Alexander and Eric finishes him off while Adelaide watches in terror. She now knows she needs to leave and get to safety for her sake and her unborn baby. She watches in horror as her love Alexander is now lying in a pool of his own blood.

***note this snippet is to fit a 8 sentence limit***

Prince Eric took a step toward her, but Princess Victoria halted him as she spoke, “You don’t want to do that, Adelaide. We have what we want now, and if you want to keep your life and your unborn child’s, I suggest you leave.”
She closed her eyes and fought the tears, but her heart felt like it would explode from the grief.
She felt so much rage at the injustice of it all, but she had to go. Now.
Words flew from her mouth, a chant to conjure a portal. Adelaide didn’t know where the portal would lead her.
The magic of dimensions could be unpredictable, but she didn’t care. Anywhere had to be safer than here.
