Welcome Back Everyone!

Today is Snippet #19 from my newly published story! I’m so excited to have you read it!

Today I’ll be sharing a snippet from my newly published story At First Snowfall.
I thought I would take a break from my Dia de los Muertos ~ Day of the Dead and show you a glimpse into my new story for Christmas time. Hope you enjoy the snippet.

We’re jumping ahead a few paragraphs.

Alexander is distraught to find out about his fathers death and that it was by the hands of his wife and brother. Now Alexander is going to fight back and Adelaide knows this will not be good. Eric and Alexander are in a brawl.

***note this snippet is to fit a 8 sentence limit***

“Alex, Alex!” Adelaide screamed for him, trying to wiggle her way out of the guard’s arms. Princess Victoria walked up to her and stood so close to her face, she could smell what she ate for dinner.
“You my dear will be leaving and so will your man,” Princess Victoria spat.
“I’m not going anywhere, Princess,” Adelaide said, the last word in a hiss.
“We shall see, my guards have surrounded the garden. You have nowhere to go without them apprehending you.”
Victoria walked over to the men rolling around on the ground.
She snapped her fingers and Alexander stopped throwing punches and just went limp, falling face first onto Prince Eric.

Is Alexander dead? What lies ahead for Adelaide?

It seems the Victoria and Eric planned their coup well. I’m hoping Alex was knocked out by some version of a tranquilizer dart.

      We shall see on that.

The princess has some wicked power. Emphasis on “wicked” I think. Hope Alexander and Adelaide survive this encounter with it.

Very wicked indeed. Thank you for stopping by.

  8. I’m a bit confused by Victoria. Does she was to make them leave, or imprison them, or kill them?

    1. Cecilia Corona says:

She at this point doesn’t know what she wants. She just knows she wants them out of sight.

  9. P.T. Wyant says:

I’m guessing her power has to do with the jewel?

    1. Cecilia Corona says:

      Yes. The stone of Galant.

You’ll have to wait and see. No spoilers.

  13. Scary that she can stop him with a snap of her fingers. Great snippet!
