Snippet Sunday: At First Snowfall #snippetsunday #SPeekSunday #8Sunday

Welcome Back Everyone!

Today is Snippet #17 from my newly published story! I’m so excited to have you read it!

Today I’ll be sharing a snippet from my newly published story At First Snowfall.
I thought I would take a break from my Dia de los Muertos ~ Day of the Dead and show you a glimpse into my new story for Christmas time. Hope you enjoy the snippet.

We’re jumping ahead a few paragraphs.

Adelaide realizes Victoria has the stone of Galant, which gives her power over others. She knows this isn’t good for Alexander and her, and most definitely not for the kingdom.  Alexander is arguing with his brother and finds out that their father is dead and by the hands of his brother and his own wife.

***note this snippet is to fit a 8 sentence limit***

****

Victoria’s cackle proved to be the worst sound Adelaide had ever heard, she was pure evil, down to the bone.
Alexander’s face paled at the news of his father’s death. Princess Victoria laughed about it, and Eric looked pleased too.
This was just what the two wanted. They wanted Alexander to leave.
With the king dead, they could take over the kingdom. Alexander was right, they couldn’t leave.
They must stay and make sure Princess Victoria and Prince Eric didn’t get their grimy hands on the throne.

****

If they stay will Adelaide and her baby be in mortal danger?! Princess Victoria has the stone of Galant…I’d be worried.

  1. Yeah, it’d be so simple to just walk away, but he’s a better man than that. A better ruler than that. 🙂

    1. Cecilia Corona says:

Right!? But he isn’t worried about how that puts him and everyone he loves around him in danger!

  2. I’m not sure it’s the right time to be brave and save the kingdom. They probably killed the king, they are not to be played lightly with.

      Yes…definitely.

Victoria’s cackle definitely hinted that she was evil. I hope she doesn’t take the throne. Nice eight!

Thank you…her cackle in my head is just so sinister. It really fits her character throughout the story.

  4. P.T. Wyant says:

I’m curious to know the consequences of Eric and Victoria ruling the country? What would the repercussions be? What would make them be worse rulers than Alexander and Adelaide?

    1. Cecilia Corona says:

If Eric and Victoria ruled over Galant there definitely wont be time to smell the roses.

  5. I’m torn. I want them to stay and fight, but I want them to live and be happy together. Victoria and Eric are crazy. They are capable of anything. Great snippet. 🙂

    1. Cecilia Corona says:

Thank you. They definitely are crazy.

    1. Cecilia Corona says:

Yes. There would be no way they could they are way too good.
