Hi readers, so I know these Reading Corners are on Fridays but my life has been crazy busy this last month. I’ll spare you the details and get on with the next book for Reading Corner.
Diana Rowland’s book My life as a White Trash Zombie sounds a bit crazy and well lets just say not that appealing to the every day individual. Let me tell you something though, it has a very interesting story and plot twists along the way that will make you happy to have picked up the book and read it.
This book is the first one in the series. I believe now she has 5 books. Book one lets you in on very little of the big picture. The main character Angel is not a very, how do I say this, classy individual. Okay no she’s a hot mess. Not only did she drop out of high school, she got into drugs, has a loser boyfriend and her dad is an ass.
You want to almost feel bad for her once you get to see more of her story unfold throughout the book. The twist on the zombies in this story is so fun and different.
Angel then has this guy named Marcus, who by the way is a cop (yum) who keeps popping up in her life and you have to wonder is there something there we don’t know? Are they going to to get together? I love every minute of their interaction in this book and I’m sure you will understand why once you go out and get the book!
Unfortunately throughout the book you’re going to be fidgeting in your seat and possibly biting those nails with all the close calls Angel gets herself into throughout this book.
So go to Amazon or Barnes and Noble or wherever you go and pick up your copy today. Trust me you’ll enjoy it. Check out the cover and the blurb of the book below. Links to buy this will be there too.
Thank you for stopping by. Join me tomorrow for another Snippet Sunday for my story Afterlife.
Angel Crawford is a loser
Living with her alcoholic deadbeat dad in the swamps of southern Louisiana, she’s a high school dropout with a pill habit and a criminal record who’s been fired from more crap jobs than she can count. Now on probation for a felony, it seems that Angel will never pull herself out of the downward spiral her life has taken.
That is, until the day she wakes up in the ER after overdosing on painkillers. Angel remembers being in an horrible car crash, but she doesn’t have a mark on her. To add to the weirdness, she receives an anonymous letter telling her there’s a job waiting for her at the parish morgue–and that it’s an offer she doesn’t dare refuse.
Before she knows it she’s dealing with a huge crush on a certain hunky deputy and a brand new addiction: an overpowering craving for brains. Plus, her morgue is filling up with the victims of a serial killer who decapitates his prey–just when she’s hungriest!
Angel’s going to have to grow up fast if she wants to keep this job and stay in one piece. Because if she doesn’t, she’s dead meat.
